Green Building Saves was formed in 2010 by Norman Wheatley. We are dedicated to the improvement of your wallet and your planet through sensible and efficient use of natural resources. For too long we have left the light on in the hallway and forgotten to alter the thermostat before going on vacation. Energy has been too cheap and we've been lazy. Well, there's no excuse for wasting money and emitting more CO2. It is actually considerably cheaper to invest the time and a little money up front to make sure that we use our resources wisely. It's easy to do and you'll sleep well at night knowing that you've done your part (and so will your bank manager ).

Norman Wheatley's Bio
Norman was born in England just after the Stone Age. He spent his formative years in Germany, Kenya, Aden and England studying how to save money while fighting his brothers for a share of the pie. He moved to Perth, and after high school, graduated from the University of Western Australia with a First in Theoretical Physics. A year at NSW Uni in Sydney convinced him that an Astronomy PhD was not as much fun as researching snow in the European Alps which led to an extended stay in Europe and then a migration to San Francisco to see if it really never rains in California.
Several more years in the internet upstart business persuaded him that software development and testing wasn't going to save the planet and didn't satisfy the soul (although the restroom became well papered with defunct share certificates). After then writing a best-selling historical novel, (much acclaimed by his immediate family and much unread by everyone else), Norman decided that it was time to actually make a difference. He completed a Master of Science in Energy and Sustainable Building Design and passed the LEED AP exam (and GREs and a few other things as well). Norman is ecstatically married and lives just behind the sand dunes within easy reach of the Pacific Ocean (and hoping that it doesn't rise too fast).
